Terms of Service

Viewing the goods is a must, because what you see is what you get. We will describe the items to the best of our ability and add multiple pictures were possible to show the condition of the items. There are no returns accepted after the auction, (with the exception to electrical appliances, buyers are allowed 24 hours to return a non-working appliance if it was sold as working). Viewing is available 3 (three) days prior to the auction at 101 Auctions, 95 Main Rd, Strand. (No need to make an appointment, pop in any time.) Viewing can also be done via the online catalogue if you are unable to view the items in person. Registration and bidding for online auctions can be done via one of our secure online bidding platforms. Place your bids via our free mobile app or direct website link. You will be able to follow the auction and get notifications as the auction progresses.

Buyers commission will be charged at a flat rate of 17% on top of the bidding price per item added to you invoice for payment. NO VAT WILL BE CHARGED.

On close of auction, you will receive an emailed invoice with lots purchased for payment. Payment can be done via EFT or via Card or Cash at our premises. Invoices need to be paid in full by no later than 48hours after the auction, and before removal of any goods. 

Collection of goods will be at 101 Auctions, 95 Main Rd, Strand. We can provide help with loading and checking of items. Items need to be collected by no later than 5-days after the auction, to ensure that we have space for the next upcoming auction.

Transport services are available in the Western Cape vicinity where possible. We charge per bakkie load and not per item and a trailer can be added if needed. Feel free to contact our office for a quote on transport. Small items under 5kg can be sent via Postnet’s service where possible (cost to the buyer) can be added to your invoice before payment, please also arrange before bidding to confirm availability. Transport to other provinces for large items needs to be arranged by the buyer.

Anyone is welcome to submit items to us for auction. We can provide you with an estimate auction valuation/reserve price. Please feel free to send pictures to us via Email: johan@101auctions.co.za for valuation and for more information regarding sales commission, auction pay-outs etc.

PLEASE NOTE WE DOT NOT HAVE STORAGE FACILITIES!!! Do not bid on items if you do not intend on collecting them. Please make sure that you can arrange transport/collection before bidding.
