Concise Terms for Participation via the Sylvie's App

Registration and Bidding

• Register via the app on a smartphone/tablet to obtain a unique bid number. Once approved, you can place live online bids during auctions.
• A bidding limit of €5,000 applies per bidder, as per the general terms and conditions. This limit may be exceeded upon written request by email to info@sylvies.be and payment of any required advance.
• App users can participate in live online auctions (real-time via audio/video) and timed auctions (bidding over a period, transitioning to live on the final 3 days).
• Place maximum/absentee bids via the app; the auctioneer will bid on your behalf up to your maximum. You will typically win at the low estimate or one bid increment above competing bids, provided you are the first to submit the highest amount.
• Bidding commences upon publication of the catalogue and processing of your registration.

Costs and Payment

• All amounts in euros. Hammer price + buyer's premium (20% excl. VAT) = lot price. Certain VAT-liable lots - marked "+ VAT" - may incur additional VAT on top of the lot price, in accordance with applicable legislation. Additional: transport, storage (6 months free), insurance, VAT/excise duties (depending on destination).
• Invoice issued post-auction; payment exclusively by bank transfer in euros is mandatory within 7 days after receiving the invoice. Import costs (including import duties) are for your account – conduct your own research.
• Auction results published on the 3rd business day following the auction.

Ownership and Delivery

• You become owner upon winning bid; disposition upon payment receipt. Collection available from the first Thursday after the auction.
• Wine purchased 'as is': your own duty of inspection prior to bidding. Descriptions provide an indication only, with no warranty.
• Shipment via approved carriers; Sylvie's reserves the right to refuse in case of incomplete documentation.

App-Specific

• By using the app, you agree to these terms as set out at sylvies.be/en/terms-and-conditions. Non-compliance with these terms may result in refusal of your registration, including permanent suspension if necessary.
• This English version is provided for informational purposes only. Only the Dutch version is legally binding; English/French versions are for reference.

Applicable Law

• Belgian law applies. Disputes: exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Antwerp (proceedings in Dutch).
